Educate Yourself About the Trumpet Creeper and Its Visiting Hummingbirds
Trumpet Creeper
Trumpet Creeper (Campsis radicans) has a beautiful yellow or orange tube-shaped flower, that the Hummingbirds enjoy drinking the nectars from. This is a very sturdy vine, and if grown in your back yard or bird-feeding garden, it is best to provide a trellis. Other wise the Trumpet Creepers will grow up tree trunks to reach the canopy.
It needs lots of room, and full sun, and do not forget a strong support, so it can climb up high. It is suited for both moist and dry, well-drained soils. The Trumpet Creeper can grow up to “between” 30-40ft (9-12m), and its spread will depend on the support for this fast-growing vine.
