Garden Phlox
Garden Phlox (Phlox paniculata, P. maculata) has strong clumps of foliage that are topped off with beautiful domed clusters of fragrant flowerings. Depending on wihich species you pick, you will have a choice of either pink, rose, white or lavender colors. Their flower attracts butterflies witch attracts spiders and other bugs that are snapped up by many happy insect eating birds in your lovely bird feeding garden.
The Garden Phlox is also great for nesting and cover spots for buntings and sparrows. It likes average-to-fertile well-drained soils, in sunny areas, and will grow to a height of “between” 3-4feet (.9-1.2m) tall.
