Educate Yourself About the Winged Euonymus (Burning Bush)

Winged Euonymus (burning bush)

Winged Euonymus, burning bush (Euonymus alata) is an excellent deciduous shrub for your bird feeding garden, because of the dense shelter it provides, especially for nesting birds. It produces brilliant red foliage, and has tiny dangling red berries, that are loved by many different species in the winter time. Placing a modern looking copper bird bath, next to this shrub, could cause some picture taking.

The Winged Euonymus will grow up to “between” 10-20ft (3-6m), and have a spread of around 4-6ft (1.2-1.8m). This is an easy shrub to grow; it will thrive almost everywhere, except in waterlogged soils.
