Learn How to Make Orange-rind Feeders for Your Visiting Bids

Orange-rind feeders for birds

Every year we fill orange-rinds with our favorite ice creams or favorite puddings for our special parties, why not use the empty orange-rinds after the party and use them as small bird feeders, filled with half suet half fruit mix, or you can start from scratch. Here is what you need:

Several large naval oranges or of any kind
Strong thread or wire

Gold and black raisins and some orange pulp if you have any left

Dried pineapple, mango, or cherries are optional

Chopped suet or beef fat (Look up homemade suet in our recepie

Now, all you have to do is follow these easy instructions:

!) Cut the oranges in half, and scoop out the flesh, and coarsely chop the orange flesh

and set it aside.

2) Combine the raisins and the other dried fruits you have chosen, with the orange

pulp.

3) Thread your upholstery needle, or use a thin wire to make a basket handle, on top of

the rind.

4) Once you are done with your little bird feeding basket, just fill one side with the

suet, and the other side with the fruit mixture.

5) Find some nice tree branches in your bird feeding garden, and hang them up.
