Learn How to Make Your Own Homemade Suet
Homemade Suet
This is an easy way to turn your beef fat in to suet for your birds, in your bird feeding garden. When you cut of the extra fat on your steaks or roasts, cut it into half-inch-thick strips and freeze them on a waxed paper-lined cookie sheets, until the strips of fat has harden. Then they are ready to be chopped into tiny pieces with a sharp knife and be served on a plate or just sprinkled on the ground.
If you prefer you can roll the fat into fist-size balls, and freeze them, and then put the chunks of beef fat, one by one in your blender and grind it up. Sprinkle it out as it is, or make suet treats mixed with seeds and nuts, or use our COOKIE CUTTER TREATS recipe, under RECIPES on our website www.BIRDFEEDERSUSA.com
